What Is 029 Pill?
Pills which have imprinted r 029 on them are alprazolam. They contain 0.5 mg of this substance which belongs to the class of benzodiazepines. They are round shaped, orange colored and have a diameter of 7 mm. Alprazolam is only available on prescription and it is used in treating disorders like anxiety, depression, tinnitus or panic attacks.
Alprazolam is not suitable for being used in pregnancy or in breastfeeding women because of the increased fetal risk associated with it. Congenital malformations might appear in newborns whose mothers have taken benzodiazepines during pregnancy. Taking this drug in pregnancy is not advised and there are rare cases in which doctors decide that the benefits are higher than the associated risks. Alprazolam is excreted in milk, so breastfeeding women should not take it because they subject their babies to risks including weight loss and lethargy. Newborns might also experience withdrawal symptoms if their mothers' were on benzodiazepines and interrupted the treatment.
R 029 pills are approved for being used in the United States and they are considered to have low potential for abuse. However, this exists and physical or psychological addiction might occur. Given this, no 029 pill should be given to those who haven't been prescribed it by their doctor or to those who have a history of drug abuse.
Before prescribing R 029 pills doctors should ask the patients questions on their medical condition and medical history, as well as questions regarding other medication they are taking. Alprazolam is not recommended in people suffering of glaucoma, various respiratory problems, liver disease or kidney disease. Caution is also needed in patients who have experienced suicidal thoughts or who have fought alcohol or drug addiction. Alcohol is completely forbidden during treatment with alprazolam because even a 029 pill can enhance the effects of alcohol in the body and lead to unpleasant consequences.
Like all benzodiazepines, R 029 pills can also have side effects which can sometimes be pretty severe. Some of them are more common than others: constipation, nausea, diarrhea, changes in appetite which might lead to weight loss, dry mouth, drowsiness, fatigue and lack of sexual appetite. Patients experiencing such conditions might notice that they worsen once they start taking alprazolam. More severe side effects can also occur and when they are noticed the patients should seek immediate medical assistance. These include allergic reactions to the drug like inability to breathe, swelling of the lips, tongue or face or skin rashes. Other severe side effects are mood swings, hallucinations, confusion, loss of balance, fainting, inability to coordinate muscles, blurred vision, numbness and tingling in the body, loss of memory or attention, dizziness, abnormal heartbeat patterns, problems when speaking, reduced amount of urine and dark colored urine, tremor, difficulty in breathing, severe pregnancy with mirena skin problems and a yellow color of the skin or the eyes.
